1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a Taxify account or using the Taxify service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Taxify.
These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Taxify. We may update them from time to time โ we'll notify you of significant changes by email, and your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
2. What Taxify is (and isn't)
What we provide
- A platform to record and organise your income and business expenses
- Live tax estimates based on the figures you enter (for planning purposes only)
- VAT threshold tracking and return preparation tools
- Making Tax Digital (MTD) readiness tracking
- AI-powered guidance and analysis of your financial data
- A Director Hub for limited company directors
What we do not provide
- Regulated financial, tax, or accounting advice
- Completion or submission of your Self Assessment tax return on your behalf
- A guarantee that our calculations are correct or HMRC-compliant for your specific situation
- Professional accountancy services
All AI responses and tax estimates are provided for informational and planning purposes only. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any information submitted to HMRC.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident or operating a UK business to use Taxify.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate information during signup and onboarding
- You may not share your account with other people
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
4. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Free plan
The free plan provides limited access to Taxify features including up to 20 transactions, 5 AI questions per month, and one CSV upload. Feature limits are subject to change.
Paid plans
Paid plans (Solo and Pro) are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- Prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT where applicable
- Annual plans are paid upfront and non-refundable after 14 days
- Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
7-day free trial
New paid subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. Your card is not charged until the trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on annual plans. For monthly plans, we do not offer refunds for partial months. To request a refund, contact us at billing@taxify.co.uk within 14 days of your payment.
5. Your data and content
You retain ownership of all financial data, transactions, and documents you enter or upload to Taxify. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data.
By using Taxify, you grant us a limited licence to process your data for the purpose of providing the service โ including passing relevant context to our AI provider to power the assistant features.
You can export your transaction data as a CSV at any time from the Transactions tab. You can request full account deletion by emailing privacy@taxify.co.uk.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Taxify for any unlawful purpose, including tax evasion or fraud
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the service
- Share false or misleading information in your account
- Use automated scripts to excessively query the service
- Resell or commercialise access to the service without our written consent
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or plan restrictions
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Taxify is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee that tax estimates, calculations, or AI responses are accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific circumstances
- We are not liable for any penalties, interest, or losses arising from incorrect tax submissions based on Taxify data
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any matter that cannot be excluded under English law.
8. Intellectual property
Taxify, including its software, design, brand, and content (excluding your data), is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Taxify shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
